Hi everyone! My name is Aditi Avinash. I am a Senior at Rock Canyon High School.. To put it simply, I am a science enthusiast and hope to be a medical professional in the future! I participate in science fairs and competed at the International Science and Engineering Fair for the past three years. I also love to sing, both as a member of my school’s choir and Indian classical Carnatic. In school, I am involved in our HOSA club and Science National Honor Society. In my free time, you can find me listening to Harry Styles and Taylor Swift on my vinyl, binging The Office, baking, and rereading old children's books like Percy Jackson.

Hey everyone! My name is Siena Negrón and I am a junior at SkyView Academy. First off, I want you to know how excited I am that you are joining us! Stepping Stone to Stem wouldn't be possible without people like you! We all could benefit from more people who are eager to learn and make valuable connections with the world around them. I am here because I firmly believe that the exchange of knowledge helps unite us and I deeply admire Aditi's devotion to sharing knowledge with everybody. In a society where we have witnessed and experienced so much disconnect I am thrilled to be apart of a community that thrives on connection. I am passionate about writing and hope to one day become a novelist. I also love theater or any capacity of storytelling where you can connect with other people. In school I participate in soccer, basketball, and theater. In my free time you can find me jamming to Ben Platt or Andy Grammer, binging Stranger Things or Modern Family, eating ice cream, and enjoying time with friends and family.

Hi! My name is Samuel Law and if you couldn't tell already, I am a huge nerd. I love all things science, and science fiction (and even a little magical fantasy). I like exploring the crazy things of our universe, and sharing those things with other people. When I'm not scrambling through school work, I'm busy hanging out with my friends, making short films, or writing stories. One day, I hope to design the future of commercial aircraft in supersonic jets, or work on the most advanced public transportation in high-speed rail, whichever one comes first.

My name is Mara Cecil, and I am a junior at Rock Canyon High School. I have a passion for science and teaching others about it. I am currently conducting a research project that aims to identify various species of fungal mold to help Colorado mycologists better understand fungal biodiversity. I have a deep interest in biomedical research and hopes to pursue that in the future.

Hey! My name is Mariami Zhuzhunashvili. I’m a senior at Cherry Creek High School. I joined Stepping Stone to STEM because I’m a science nerd, but I find that scientific articles are often intimidating and hard to understand. On this blog, I’d love to share my knowledge with others in a more accessible way! I hope to be a researcher in the future, specifically working to discover new medicine. Over the past two years, I’ve done some research of my own and competed at fairs and symposiums with my project. I also lead my school’s medicine club and Science Bowl team. Beyond science, I’m an orator on Creek’s debate team and have lots of fun speaking at tournaments. In my free time, I’m usually rewatching The Simpsons, baking, or spending time with friends and family.
